Hatfield Archer Memorial Hospital, Rotifunk (S/L)

Hatfield Archer Memorial Hospital (HAMH) is a 52 bedded UMC Mission Secondary Hospital in Rotifunk. It serves a population of 145,000; receiving medical, surgical and maternity referrals from throughout the Moyamba district. It has one operating theatre, with a second due renovation.

HAMH is renowned for its friendly well-functioning team and can do approach to innovation. Initiatives developed at HAM have spread to other hospitals. It has a strong culture of safe surgery. It thus proved to be an excellent choice to become the second centre in Sierra Leone enrolled in the Affordable Mesh Hernia Surgery Initiative in early March 2024.
