Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital (TZ)

Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital is the tertiary referral centre of the Southern Highlands (which comprises of the Katavi, Rukwa, Songwe, Mbeya,  Njombe, Ruvuma and Iringa Regions). It serves a population of 10million, over a large geographical area. It is a substantial 800 bedded hospital, with excellent facilities. The dynamic surgical team is led by Dr Dino (Head of Department) with Dr Marco as the nominated Centre Lead for the AMHSI programme. They are well supported by the exceptional CSSD team and facilities overseen by Esupat.  It was inducted into the AMHSI programme in November 2024, during a collaborative programme with GASOC and VRiMS.
