The SWIFTSS Ultra-Low-Cost Hernia Simulation Training Model

Over the last few years we have been grappling with the issue of good quality simulation models costing too much to be practical in LMICs. Accordingly, we have developed this ultra-low cost hernia simulation model which is made from materials that cost between $1-$2* and should be easily available in any LMIC country (*depending on the number you make at a time). Cleverly simulating the anatomy of the groin, it has been tried and tested and found to be highly effective in learning the steps of an inguinal hernia mesh repair.
