Speaking after dinner on this two day residential course aimed at Foundation Doctors, Mark was delighted to share his global surgical experience and the ongoing work of SWIFTSS. On a course that takes a holistic approach to healthcare and looks to broaden thinking, his brief for this talk was to ‘inspire’. With so much potential material and thoughts to share, we are told that his distilled account very much achieved this brief, with excellent feedback from the delegates. It is a real privilege to be able to share our experiences, to continue to promote this crucial issue of healthcare inequality (that effects 95% of the worlds population -often catastrophically so) and to shape the narrative of Global Health & Surgery.
