Collaborative research project with the University of Winchester and TSA begins

January 2021

The Global Challenges Fund is an internal research grant at the University of Winchester (UoW). SWIFTSS teamed up with the Centre for Global Health at the UoW to apply for and secure this grant at the end of last year.

The realities of implementing this project in the face of the ongoing COVID pandemic threw up a number of hurdles, some of which seemed temporarily insurmountable. However, having brokered the link with the Tanzania Surgical Association (TSA), SWIFTSS is a proud partner in this research project which looks to establish qualitative research methodology expertise in the Tanzania surgical community.

Special thanks to Rachel Locke at the University of Winchester for her vision and hard work in making this happen.
